Welcome To I Wedding Dress!

If images of white wedding dresses are dancing in your head, you must have become recently engaged. Of course, many women have had a picture of their wedding in their head since the  time they were twelve. Will the real life moment live up to your dreams?

Although it may seem that all wedding dresses are alike, there are many ways to capture individual styles. White may be the traditional wedding gown color, but more brides are choosing off-white or a light cream as an alternative. This can show your fashion consciousness, while still remaining true to the traditional coloring.  Your best shade of white will be determined by your skin tone.  Be sure to try on different shades in the beginning of your gown search.

I Wedding Dress Can Help.

For women who are short in stature, you may want to select a gown with longer lines and seams. Although your high heels will help to create a taller look, the cleaner and simpler the dress, the more it will elongate you. Pick something that doesn’t have a lot of embellishment as it may accentuate one particular area instead of you as a whole.

For the taller woman who is looking to create a less lengthy style, you may want to find a dress with more detail toward the bottom of the dress. This helps to draw the eye away from height.

Whatever dress makes you feel beautiful is the one. So, don’t let convention or tradition stand in the way of your dream. Short or long, detailed or not, your wedding dress should reflect everything that you are feeling on your wedding day.

What bride doesn’t want to feel like a princess on her wedding day?  You need a plan to make that dream a reality.  Every bridal salon is a sea of white.  To navigate that sea, you must have a map.

Do your research.  You know you went out and immediately bought those bridal magazines right after you got engaged.  Use them!  Tear out the pictures of the gowns that interest you.  Tear out the articles that give you ideas.  Make files and stay organized.  If a bridesmaid gown looks like the wedding gown of your dreams, tear out the picture.  It may come in white.

Another way to research is to look on the Internet. There are hundreds of wedding sites that are popping up to help the frazzled and busy bride find just what she needs. This doesn’t mean that you have to have the wedding dress picked out before you shop but research can narrow the field.

Let’s be honest. The reason that the salesperson is helping you is to make a commission on the sale of a dress. But you need to understand and remember that YOU will be the one wearing it on your wedding day, so it’s up to YOU to choose the one that suits you.

Wedding shoes!

So you think you will be able to walk into any shoe store and find the perfect shoes to go with your dress.  Think again.  This major purchase should not be left to the last minute.

Don’t think that people will not look at your shoes.  The simplicity of some wedding gowns has prompted a renewed interest in bridal footwear.  Shoes usually don’t remain hidden under hoop skirts and yards of tulle.

You need to remember that you will probably be wearing these shoes for 8-12 hours.  Brides need comfortable shoes.  Feet swell as the day goes on so shop for shoes later in the day.

Consider heel height and the height of your groom.  You do not want to be towering over your husband-to-be.  The higher the heel, the more stress you will put on your lower back and calves.

Once you have found your dress, shop for the shoes.  You will need your shoes to have your gown altered. Remember to bring them to every fitting.

At least two weeks before the wedding, start wearing your shoes around the house.  Gradually build up the time.  Rub sand paper on the bottom of the soles if the shoe is too slippery.

Don’t be laying on a beach the day after your wedding with blistered feet.
